"Independence flag"

[edit]

Are there any sources calling the current flag the "Independence flag"? Afaik Syrians call this the Revolution flag (Arabic: علم الثورة) and not the Independence flag [1]. If there are no sources on this, then that name should be removed.

I don't think so, but the independence flag is very similar to the revolution flag. (only differences are different flag ratios and star positions) 🗽Freedoxm🗽(talkcontribs) 19:59, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah but then those are two different flags. Does anyone object to renaming it the "Revolution flag"? 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 20:15, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't object to the renaming, per the sources. 🗽Freedoxm🗽(talkcontribs) 20:17, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support same.

Flag in the UN

[edit]

The flag flown on the UN seems to have a more saturated version of red, and the spacing between the stars looks different than what we have here [2] 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 18:27, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Presidential flag

[edit]

The presidential flag added to the page is unsourced. The source in the image mentions it as the 1941-1958 and 1961-1963 presidential flag but nothing about it being readopted in 2025. It appears to be an assumption of whomever added it. Will be removing it. Avenflight (talk) 21:05, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Freedoxm: Can you clarify whether the presidential flag is being used? It appears that they are using the national flag of Syria. HurricaneEdgar 22:01, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I saw it on outdated sources and videos, but that was a few months ago. Feel free to revert. Apologies. Freedoxm (talk · contribs) 22:04, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
