Why is the call considered "alleged"?

I havent seen any indication that it might not have happened, so what gives? CVDX (talk) 23:57, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Since the call has been confirmed, I have removed a couple qualifiers and left others in place. Initially, this was a claim made by Trump, who has a long history of lying about such things. He invents events that have no basis in fact, so we are forced to use qualifiers in such cases until independent confirmation arrives. An example is his claim, made for several years, that he had met Putin and had a good relationship with him. That was a lie for many years, and he still doesn't have a real relationship with Putin other than constantly showing obeisance to him and doing anything he can to placate Putin.
