[Charlie] Martin is the great-granddaughter of engineer Percy Martin, founder of Percy Martin Machine Tools company that he founded in 1921.
Charlie Martin and siblings are part owners of Percy Martin Ltd, a British machine tool company founded in 1921 by their great grandfather Percy Martin (1883 - 1960). The company is now fourth generation and still family owned. Info: https://www.percymartin.co.uk
THERE IS NO CONNECTION TO Percy Martin (1871-1958) who was an American-born British engineer and automobile manufacturer. Percy Martin married Alice Helen Heublein, and they lived at The Spring, Kenilworth, Warwichshire. The Martin Family were major benefactors to Warwick University. Their son, John Gilbert Martin, was born in Coventry but lived in the USA and was married to former actress Jane Weeks. Martin was President of Heublein and in 1939 acquired all rights to Smirnoff Vodka and made vodka popular in the USA.
