Background
[edit]This article is so anti-Muawiya in general. Muawiya's parents being torturous to Muhammad is irrelevant to the Battle of Siffin's background. Can I reach consensus here, before removing this unnecessary stuff. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.73.112.131 (talk) 18:39, 28 May 2022 (UTC) Sockstrike ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 21:06, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- This part has now been summarized but some background of this nature seems necessary for the next paragraph. Albertatiran (talk) 11:52, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

"Amr was believed to be an illegitimate child of Abu Sufyan." must be removed this is absolutely false. 197.240.83.107 (talk) 20:12, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
Done 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 16:59, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- removed it as it is irrelevent in that context. This has nothing to do with the factuality of the statement 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 17:00, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Albertatiran that part reads like " Amr refused to join him. He, a companion of Muhammed, was alleged to be gay".[sarcasm] Like how does him being an alleged illegitimate child have to do anything with the context of the paragraph 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 09:51, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think that's a fair comparison. That Amr and Mu'awiya were reportedly half-brothers is too important to omit. But if you find the wording to be inappropriate or the sentence misplaced, that can be addressed... Albertatiran (talk) 14:29, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah that would be nice of you to do 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 14:45, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
