"... is analogous to the discovery of the name of Gautama in the Zoroastrian Mithra-Yesh" is incorrect
[edit]Even though this is a direct quote, and not necessarily related to the Aupanmanyava article directly, it's incorrect. The name which appears as Gautama is mentioned in Avesta at "Yt 13.16" which is Frawardin Yasht. This is analyzed in: "Contending for the cosmos: a Zoroastrian poet’s mysterious rival - Arish Dastur", JRAS, Series 3 (2024), 34, 79–108 doi:10.1017/S135618632200061X
Dastur also determines that the form of the name which appears in Yt 13 is cognate for "Gotama" proper, not "Gautama" ("of Gotama"). Deadavenger0 (talk) 23:38, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
