1952 revolution adoption

[edit]

The 1952 did not adopt the flag of the arab liberation. here is a picture that shows the flag of the kingdom of egypt with the crescent and stars still in use https://www.egypttoday.com/Article/1/13316/How-do-experts-see-revolution-of-1952-after-65-years I removed the wrong information and link that does not mention the 1952 revolution Gillispie007 (talk) 23:32, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The source does talk about the 1952 revolution but misidentifies it as a non-existent "revolution of 1953". Regardless, Crwflags is not the best source, but the Arab Liberation Flag's introduction by the Egyptian Free Officers movement is a claim repeated by other sources as well, such as the Encyclopædia Britannica. Also, I think you're misunderstanding what the sentences you removed say: the claim is that the movement adopted it, not the Egyptian state. Yue🌙 01:37, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
