Barring the issue of the article being created by a now-banned sock, this article has several issues when it comes to quality and prose, with a serious one-sided bias with the sources and framing that need to be addressed. For example, the section about SJP & WOL speaks as if it references the specific chapter at Columbia, but that's not the case. Additionally, the source for that section is a news blog that extrapolates (albeit regrettable) statements from the national chapter that aren't direct quotes. It also does not separate protestors around Columbia University from protestors at or belonging to Columbia University. Overall, this article has unreliable cites, a need for severe copy-editing ("2024-24 Academic year"), and a rewrite in line with WP:NPOV ("a major Israeli city known for its liberal culture", completely unneeded). I have done some work over the past month (first edit 15:30, 3 September 2024) in order to resolve some of the issues with the article's quality and neutrality. I do not know if the article's neutrality has been sufficiently improved, but I do believe that the quality has been improved enough to warrant the removal of the "Cleanup reorganize" template. However, I wanted to know the opinion of others before going through with this removal. Please let me know your thoughts on this at your earliest convenience. @Esolo5002, @Eladkarmel, @AG202TheUnabashedUkrainian (talk) 17:21, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: This article needs to be re-written for a WP:NPOV. Right now it is filled with WP:RECENTISM and one-sided bias.
There was an incident in 1934 of the Columbia Purim dance being interrupted by Nazi supporters. Here are Columbia Daily Spectator and Jewish Press articles from that time, and more contemporary are a wikiCU article and a mention of this incident in the reporter's obituary. Would someone be interested in writing about this? Lengua (talk) 03:43, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add a line or two about it. I recall hearing about it once when I attended Columbia some years ago, but wasn't sure of the year or details. I recall looking at this page some months ago and seeing quite a bit about the 1930s but not this particular incident. Jjazz76 (talk) 00:56, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
