Agree with the points above. I have tagged the article with overuse of primary sources and that some sources may not be reliable. I also think the current version of the article is refbombed to a point where it is hard to read. The first sentence in the Early life section has 20 inline citations. Individual words are referenced, sometimes more than once. This isn't necessary. Tacyarg (talk) 22:34, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The claim about the dunce cap is extraordinary and needs better sources than the two references to television episodes. Tacyarg (talk) 22:44, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This discussion started above under "Revert", but a new section may be helpful. I have just removed the name of Neilson's sister per WP:BLPNAME, plus information sourced to birth and death certificates (WP:PRIMARY) or television programmes (I asked about that at the teahouse), plus information about ancestry not directly relevant and poorly sourced, plus some overly-detailed information such as her favourite books. There is still a lot of information sourced to television programmes, too much detail and tone issues - "tributes poured in". IP editor(s), please read the guidance on neutral point of view and reliable sources. Please remember that if you knew Neilson you should not usually edit the page - see the conflict of interest policy. Tacyarg (talk) 10:40, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a pass through about half the article and removed overlinking, plus some unsourced, poorly-sourced or overly-detailed information; still to complete personal life and death. Tacyarg (talk) 13:18, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Have done some more work on this, as have other editors. I've taken out some information sourced to television programmes, Twitter etc, including a list of her unpublished books. Article needs further work and still has some unreliable sources. Overlinking still an issue - "actress", "depression", "settlement", "sharks". Will get to this at some point unless anyone else sorts it first. Please let me know if any changes I've made look wrong. Tacyarg (talk) 17:28, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
