Can someone add writer

[edit]

I did say writer, formerly you can write there author. In the sentence “Alexander Hamilton (January 11, 1755 or 1757 – July 12, 1804) was an American military officer, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first U.S. secretary of the treasury from 1789 to 1795 during George Washington's presidency.” To: “Alexander Hamilton (January 11, 1755 or 1757 – July 12, 1804) was an American military officer, statesman, author, and Founding Father who served as the first U.S. secretary of the treasury from 1789 to 1795 during George Washington's presidency.” 203.109.213.164 (talk) 19:06, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It is correct how it is, but thanks for the suggestion. Many people write as part of their other notable roles. Remsense ‥  19:14, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Errors

[edit]

There’s a formatting error under Legacy > Constitution, in the first couple sentences. 24.18.77.129 (talk) 09:22, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Under 1800 election, there is a red link. The missing article exists and is mentioned in the See also at the top. 24.18.77.129 (talk) 09:24, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
 Fixed. Thanks! Remsense ‥  09:35, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Early Life and Education typo

[edit]

“Hamilton supporte the Revolutionary cause before the war began.”

I’m unsure of the proper way to report that ‘supporte’ should be ‘supported’, but this page is protected so I cannot fix it myself. NateN8 (talk) 20:59, 18 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Fixed, thanks for noticing. Remsense ‥  21:07, 18 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

“X” change his birthdate to 1757 because I figured it out! If I do the math he died at 47 so 1804-1757=47 and 1804-1755=49 so, I figured it out that it’s 1757. MARSISREALLYCOOLANDLOVESHAMILTON (talk) 18:11, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Please see Alexander Hamilton#cite note-birthyear-2. The math does not matter if we cannot reliable determine what year Hamilton was born. Peaceray (talk) 20:24, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
He died at either 47 or 49, @MARSISREALLYCOOLANDLOVESHAMILTON. 47 is a more popular theory, but it's not confirmed. If it was that easy to find his birth year, then believe me, we'd have known his birth year a long time ago. :) Ali Beary (talk!) 11:44, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
