why is that on the discussion page? just wondering... anyway, i changed some of the sentences so they sound a little better. didn't add anything new, just changed some sentence grammar. incase anyone was wondering who sort of edited the page, that was me.Greendayrox 03:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I wonder why some people have non-sensibly flooded the article with abhijeet's comments for pakis? Can't we live in harmony? Is it necessary to make a fuss out of nothing? We should remove such a section from column, no point putting nonsense on wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.200.95.130 (talk) 20:11, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Ethnicity
[edit]As far as I know, Abhijeet is a Bengali by ethnicity. Can anyone confirm this? If it's correct, then I'll replace the Hindi script of his name with his native language Bengali. --Ragib (talk) 00:38, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's right. Here is a link that says so. Shovon (talk) 04:35, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
born as Abhijeet Bhattacharya
[edit]User:Maurice45 replaced "was born as Abhijeet Bhattacharya" by "was born Abhijeet Bhattacharya", giving the edit summary English does not use the term "born as" even if you are referring to a birth name, it is still "was born". I was certainly under the impression that "born as" was in common use in English, so I did a Google check. Here are just the first five hits I got which use "born as" followed by a personal name: I have omitted other uses of the expression.
- This extraordinary woman was born as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on 27 of August 1910

- Lakshmi was born as Rukmini
- http://www.buzzle.com/articles/african-american-women-scientists-and-inventors.html
- She was born as Sarah Breedlove Walker
- http://www.musicbyday.com/date/2008/08/
- Elvis Costello was born as Declan Patrick MacManus
- http://www.hollywoodusa.co.uk/biographies/bixbybio.htm
- An only child, he was born as Wilfred Bailey Bixby
Consequently I have reverted this edit, which was evidently based on a mistaken understanding. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:46, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
