Note that the image with the "The site 3 minutes before the crash" caption does not in fact show the crash site at all. That image shows the eastern ventilation tower of the Holland tunnel as well as Pier 40 (with its very recognizable "I want to thank you" message), while the crash happened right next to the western ventilation tower of the Holland tunnel, which is not visible at all in that image, and on the other side of the Hudson river from Pier 40. Here is a better image of the crash site (from 2015, though): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HollandTunnelVentTowerHudRivJC_crop.jpg100.35.197.187 (talk) 03:42, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at WikiMap and there are also a series of photos taken from Jersey City of the Manhattan skyline in 2022 that show the area of the crash site near the ventilation tower of the Holland Tunnel. Here is an example of one of them: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Manhattan_Skyline_from_Jersey_City_091.jpg. The ventilation building also has its own category on Commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Holland_Tunnel_ventilation_building_(Jersey_City). It would probably be helpful if the article text described this ventilation tower as a point of reference that the crash site was located near, if the structure has been mentioned in a reliable source. Then a photo from this area could be used in lieu of one of Pier 40 in Manhattan. Note that the Holland Tunnel has two ventilation structures in New Jersey (one on the waterfront next to River Drive, one on the pier), so it's not technically the "western ventilation tower". I found a 2020 press release from th Port Authority that refers to the structure as the "New Jersey River Ventilation Building" and refers to its access pier as "Pier 9". Google Maps has taken to providing 16-digit coordinates in what is believed to be a copyright trap scheme, which unknowing users copy and paste into Wikipedia. That level of precision is in the 1/100th of a micrometer range. The WP:OPCOORD guideline calls for rounding or truncating coordinates, which for nearly all purposes works out to DD°MM'SS" or D.dddd°. Abductive (reasoning)06:06, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The Commons category is COMMONS:category:N216MH (aircraft), which WikiCleanerMan incorrectly inputed as {{commons|N216MH (aircraft)}} when it should have been {{commonscat|N216MH (aircraft)}} since the selected template was for galleries (COMMONS:N216MH (aircraft) is incorrect) and not categories. The original link was not a box, but instead a line, using {{commonscatinline|N216MH (aircraft)}} before WikiCleanerMan moved it around.
