Far too detailed

IMHO this is far too detailed in it's match by match descriptions. Most events can be summarized with who they played in quarter finals and above and who won those matches. For the finals maybe a few more tidbits. Maybe a little less for smaller tournaments and a little more for the four Majors, but this article's prose could easily be cut in half. Summarize. Response to third opinion request (We have discussed this at tennis project and my talk page to no avail. I tried to edit these and other pages this editor has created but he reverted the edits. These are not the only yearly pages this editor has taken under his wing but they are representative of the detail by detail prose. What I'd like someone to do is tell me if I'm way off base here in thinking these are far too detailed in the match descriptions instead of simply saying who won. If this is what we want here at wikipedia at least I'll know to leave the wording alone in this editor's future article creations. Some thoughts on the talk pages would be helpful either way. I have made no previous edits on 2013 Serena Williams tennis season and have no known association with the editors involved in this discussion. The third opinion process is informal and I have no special powers or authority apart from being a fresh pair of eyes.

Hello! My name is Solarra and I am here from WP:3O. After looking here and here, among others, I find that sports articles generally tend to have more detail that just who won what match and when. They generally go into how the individual games/matches went and how the player did. That being said, this article I find a bit tedious to read with the amount of detail it gives for each match/tournament, but I think that more details than just who Serena won against and when is warranted. My opinion is that each of the sections should be shortened and broken into easier to read paragraphs to help with readability and should summarize the highlights of each Open (Australian, US, etc) and who the key players are in addition to the results.
