Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial college, established in 1971, was founded by Amod kanth, a renowned IPS officer and the founder of biggest NGO in the country, Prayas. He founded this college when he was just 23 years old, to make higher education accessible to the Tribals of Jharkhand. It's s a general degree college in the Jharkhand state of India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated to Kolhan University.[1]
