Speedy deletion
[edit]This article was created by User:Historyjunkie2024, a/the sockpuppet of User:Greghenderson2006 and it occurred while his community ban is active. After it was deleted here, he created it on simple.wikipedia; then another user re-activated it here. I G5'd it, because the source of importation is created by that same blocked user. -Graywalls (talk) 19:47, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Explicit:, would you look at the deletion log of this article? Greg created it here, then it was deleted under G5, he then created it on simple.Wikipedia and another editor copied that over here. So, essentially, it's a sock created article even though technically it was done by a different user. Graywalls (talk) 05:02, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
Explanation
[edit]So I was asked to clarify my comment. To reviewers: for background information, the page was initially created by User:Historyjunkie2024, who was found to be a sock of community banned user User:Greghenderson2006. One of the main reason why the user was banned was due to a long-term issue with assessing sources and applying them into their own creations/articles in general, contrary with the verification policy. As a result, a new reviewer should not review this submission and leave a review to an experienced editor who is well aware and familiar with the main issue. - In addition to the above, please note that even if the article might not have significant coverage on its own, the topic of "sidewalk clocks in New York City" does have such coverage. I have found sources like this, this, this and this that talk about sidewalk clocks in NYC. – Epicgenius (talk) 17:31, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
