Referencing a living person's birthdate

[edit]

I have seen many Wikipedia pages about a person where the given birthdate is not referenced (Barack Obama, Donald Trump etc.). I am required to reference a person's birthdate when it is still a living person, i.e., there are no public historic records available with the date of birth (not in history books, the person is still alive, so no birth-death dates, and no page similar to Wikipedia with the person's history. How can I reference a birthdate? Why, in some articles about living people, is the birthdate not required, and are they still published? Simonasim414 (talk) 15:58, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
