Star Tech Ltd. is a tech retailer and service provider in Bangladesh. The company began its journey on March 1, 2007.^[1] Star Tech Ltd.'s product range includes laptops, desktop computers, mobile phones, tablets, gadgets, office equipment, and electronic devices.

History

Star Tech Ltd. was founded by Mohammad Rashed Ali Bhuiyan (Founder & Chairman), Mohammad Jahed Ali Bhuiyan (Founder & Managing Director), Mazharul Alam (Founder & Director), and Mahabub Alam Rakib (Founder & Director).^[2]

The company expanded its operations by establishing branches in major cities of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, Gazipur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh. As of 2024, Star Tech has 20 outlets nationwide, 13 of which are located in Dhaka.^[3]

In 2009, Star Tech launched its corporate branch. The company has worked on projects like providing server and hardware support for Bangladesh Bank, the Bangladesh Army, and the automated fare collection (AFC) system's passenger screen doors for the Dhaka Metro Rail.^[4]

In 2017, Md. Sajedur Rahman (Director, E-Commerce & Media) joined Star Tech as a software engineer and launched the E-commerce website.^[5]

In 2023, the company introduced a hotline number (16793) and launched a mobile application available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.^[6]

In 2024, Star Tech Ltd. introduced a tech home service to provide on-demand home-based tech servicing.^[7]

Certification

In 2022, Star Tech received the ISO 9001:2015 certification in recognition of its international quality management standards.^[8]
