The secretary-general to the president is the highest-ranking official in Syria and is responsible for managing administrative and organizational affairs within the presidency. The current Secretary-General is Maher al-Sharaa.
Duties
[edit]The Secretary General is responsible for managing administrative and organizational affairs within the Presidency of the Republic, overseeing the President's agenda, organizing official meetings and visits, and coordinating with government institutions to monitor the implementation of presidential directives.[1]
