Pivot Cycles is an American bicycle manufacturer based in Tempe, Arizona. The company produces bikes for various mountain biking disciplines, including cross-country, trail and enduro, downhill, and e-biking.

History

[edit]

After selling Titus Cycles, Chris Cocalis founded Pivot Cycles in 2007, focused on mountain bike geometry and structural frame design. Cocalis worked with engineer Dave Weagle during Pivot’s early development to integrate specific suspension characteristics into the brand’s bikes.

During the 2010s, Pivot expanded its product range across various mountain biking disciplines and adopted carbon fiber frame construction in many of its models. In the late 2010s, Pivot introduced its first electric mountain bike models.
