The following is a list of characters from the 2011 video game Minecraft.

List

[edit]
Name Description
Creeper Creepers are hostile mobs that spawn in dark places. They have featured prominently in Minecraft merchandising and advertising and have been parodied and referenced in various other video games.[1]

Creepers were created by Markus "Notch" Persson, the creator of Minecraft, on August 20, 2009 as a result of a coding error when creating the pig mob in the early pre-alpha stages of Minecraft's development.[2][3] Creepers would then be added to the game in an update that was released on September 1, 2009.

Ender Dragon The Ender Dragon is a boss who was introduced to the game in 2011. Since the Ender Dragon's introduction, beating it has become the focus of Minecraft speedrunning.[4]
Steve Steve is a player character who was first introduced to the game in the original 2009 Java-based version. He is one of the nine default character skins that are available to new players in Minecraft.[5][6]

Steve has also been playable in other video games such as the 2010 video game Super Meat Boy[a][b] and the Fighters Pass Volume 2 DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.[7][8]
