Jake Barraclough, aka (Ran to Japan) born August 16, 1997, is a British runner/youtuber located in Japan who reached the Wikipedia notability criteria by making it the World Athletics all time senior top lists for the half marathon and the marathon with performances of 1:03:42 on February 2, 2025 at the Kagawa Marugame international half marathon and 2:14:55 on March 2, 2025 at the Tokyo marathon.[1]

Barraclough ran for the Savanah College of Art and Design during the 2021/2022 season.[2]

YouTube career

Barraclough moved from the United Kingdom to Japan in 2024 due to his frustrations with injury leading him to learn about more running philosophies, eventually leading him to become intrigued with the Japanese running philosophy of high volume running culture.[3] Since he moved to Japan he has posted vlog style videos on his YouTube channel about every week amassing over 50 thousand subscribers.[4]
