Beyond Limits is a 2025 British documentary film directed by Raymond Mouzon and edited by Sean Smith.[1] The film features ten participants from Berkshire, United Kingdom, as they prepare for and attempt to complete an Ironman 70.3 triathlon. It premiered at Cineworld Bracknell on 7 March 2025 and was released digitally via Amazon Prime Video on 2 April 2025.[2][3]

It was edited by 18-year-old Sean Smith, who lives with autism, offering a personal perspective to the narrative.[4]

Production
[edit]The documentary was independently produced by STR Productions. Director Raymond Mouzon collaborated with his nephew Sean Smith, who served as editor. The idea originated after Mouzon saw a triathlon video Sean had edited.[1]
The film is dedicated to Andy Hey, a Bracknell-based triathlete and much-loved member of the local community who died during the swim segment of the 2022 Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire.[8][9] Hey worked at Wildridings Primary School and was a member of the Berkshire Tri Squad.[10] He had a close personal connection with Mouzon, having supported him in the early stages of his triathlon training—including taking him on his first open-water swim just days before the event. Andy’s wife, Sarah Hey, appears in the film and shares how proud he would have been of Raymond and the team behind the project.[11] The dedication serves as a heartfelt tribute to Hey’s life and to the strong bonds formed through the sport of triathlon.
Release
[edit]The film premiered at Cineworld Bracknell on 7 March 2025.[5] It was later released for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 2 April 2025 to align with World Autism Awareness Day.[2][3]
Reception
[edit]The BBC described the film as highlighting themes of resilience and inclusion and praised Sean Smith’s editing.[1] Bracknell News reported positively on the local premiere, describing it as an uplifting community-focused event.[5]
