Baron Von Alias is a hip-hop artist from Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK. Said to be a time-traveller born in 1805. A lot of mystery surrounds the Barons beginnings and the earliest record of his music is 2007, with the release of 'VON ALiB', which was an unofficial mixtape using instrumentals from the Madlib Beat Konducta Vol 1-2 Movie Scenes, following that release was another unofficial mixtape called 'Von Alias The Great' in 2007, with production from Steesh, Shorte Bluez and Plan B. The 13th Hour was the first of 4 collaborations with Dutch producer Arhat, and released in 2008.
This release was followed up by The Mechanism (Workings Of A Timepiece) which was a leaked mixtape, serving as the prelude to the full length studio debut album Timepiece in 2009. Including production from Steesh, Dom P, Shorte Bluez, Plan B, Khrysis and Oh No.
