The condition started with a small spot on her arm and spread significantly during her pregnancy at age 20, eventually covering half of her body. As a mixed-race individual, she has spoken about the challenges of walking the line between "Black" & "white passing" due to vitiligo and the complexities it brings to her identity.[4]
Bailey is a single mother of three children. She has described her journey with vitiligo as transformative, stating that embracing her condition pushed her out of her shell and helped her develop self-love.[5]
