B11 (Björk 11th album) is the upcoming eleventh studio album by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk (Björk Guðmundsdóttir). It is scheduled to be released through One Little Independent Records no later than 2029.
Background
[edit]In a November 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed plans to begin writing her next album in 2024, following the conclusion of her Cornucopia Tour. Reflecting on the tour's extended run due to the pandemic, she stated, "We’re finishing it now around Christmas... And then, next year, I will start writing my next album"[1].
In a January 2025 interview with GQ, she remarked, "I like writing on each album songs that I can only sing with the voice I have now"[2].
Release Date
[edit]Björk has not yet provided an official release date for the album. However, B11 could be released as early as 2027, given the timeline for writing and her announcement in 2024 that she would begin the creative process for the album after completing her tour schedule[3].
