4 SeasonS[1][2]is a 2025 Malayalam-language musical romantic comedy film directed by Vinod Parameswaran in his directorial debut and produced by Kris A Chander. The film stars Ameen Rasheed and Rhea Prabhu in the titular role, alongside Biju Sopanam, Riyas Narmakala, Rajmohan, and Kochuni Prakash.

The film was officially announced in December 2022 under the first production venture of Transimage Productions. The film had a theatrical release in Kerala on January 31 2025.[3][4]

Plot

Sangeeth, a teen age musician from a middle-class family meets Chetana, a lonely girl from a wealthy background.   In a world where melodies wove the fabric of life, Sangeeth and Chetana's paths crossed serendipitously.  Their friendship grows. As seasons pass by , he filled her loneliness with his music. At one point, he sculptor her in musical notes and play it for her.  She expanded it in her imagination and felt as flying weightlessly .   This event made her realize her deep rooted love on him.  With this overwhelming love, she continue her artistic journey with him,  supporting in his musical endeavours.

However, not all was serene in their melodic world. The closer they grew, the more they faced the harsh realities that sought to disrupt their harmony.  Family expectations, societal pressures, and the weight of their individual dreams began to press down on their relationship.

As situations arise, they both encounter challenges in their relationship. Chetana deals with psychological stress related to their relationship.  Meanwhile, Sangeeth experiences a significant event with his long-awaited musical recognition.  Despite various obstacles, they both continue to support each other.

In the midst of this turmoil, they were presented with opportunities that could define their futures.

Torn between the desire to soar individually and the longing to remain united, they faced a pivotal moment.   The future of their love hung in the balance, as they grappled with the paths that lay before them.

The consecutive happenings made Sangeeth shuttled between his ambitions of becoming a popular composer or going after his love.  He had to make a tough choice over keeping his dignity or winning his girl.

In the endover to begin their India operations, the Canada based film projection company Transimage Productions was looks for scripts in the early 2022 . In the post COVID-19 phase, the company was planned to produce a feel good movie as their maiden venture. The company committed to give chances to striving young talents in both on screen and behind the screen , while the CEO of the production house Kris A Chandar, himself handled the Cinematography.

Pre production started in the early June '22 with the songs recording at USA and Chennai. Extensive audition was conducted and Ameen Rasheed and Rhea Prabhu were selected as lead cast.

Filming

Principal photography began with the first schedule on 9 December 2022 in Thiruvananthapuram on the same day of Pooja. The shooting locations were in and around Thiruvananthapuram. A major portion of filming happened at Christ Nagar school , Thiruvallam[5][6]

Music

The music and background score is composed by Raleigh Rajan. One of the songs, " Minnal Kodi Pole ", is composed by Jithin Roshan. The audio rights were bought by Sarigama. Official Trailer launched on January 12, 2025.[7] The first single, " Enne Kurichu " released on 17 January 2025.[8]

Release

The press meet was held on January 28, 2025 at Kesari Hall in Thiruvananthapuram.

4 SeasonS was released in Kerala theatres on January 31, 2025.[9][10][11][12]
