Chandrakala is a dessert from North India, similar to gujia.[1] The outer covering is made of flour. The stuffing is traditionally made using dry fruits like raisins, coconut, almonds, and cashews, along with khoa, semolina(rava/sooji), cardamom(elaichi), sugar, and pistachio.[2] Chandrakala gets the name from the shape. Chandrakala in Hindi means moonlight, so it’s moon shaped. The outside is made of one dough circle that was folded over to form it's moon shape.[3]
