The 2025 Rhode Island FC season is the second season for Rhode Island FC, and their second in the USL Championship, the second tier of professional soccer in the United States. They will also compete in the 2025 U.S. Open Cup and 2025 USL Cup.[1]

The USL Championship will play a 30 game regular season in 2025, with four additional scheduled games in the group round of the 2025 USL Cup. Of the 34 scheduled games, 17 will be home and 17 will be away. Additional USL games may be added through advancement in the USL Cup or USL Championship playoffs.

The team's first scheduled home game on May 3 will be the inaugural game played in Centreville Bank Stadium.[2][3]

U.S. Open Cup

RIFC entered in the Third Round of the 2025 U.S. Open Cup, joining the competition at the same time as 15 other USL Championship teams. The draw for the round was held on April 3, with the team selected to play the Portland Hearts of Pine in Maine.[14] RIFC won the game 2–1, with goals from Clay Holstad and Frank Nodarse.[15]

Rhode Island was drawn against the New England Revolution in the Round of 32 of the Cup, and will play at home on May 7.[16]
