The 2025 season will be the 4th season for the Indian Premier League franchise Lucknow Super Giants. They will be one of the ten teams competing in the 2025 Indian Premier League. They were 7th in previous season, where they finished with 14 points winning 7 out of their 14 matches in league stage.
Background
[edit]Ahead of 2025 mega auction, the franchise retained Trinidadian wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran for INR 21 crore and Indian talents namely Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav for INR 11 crore each and Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni for INR 4 crore each. They had INR 69 crore left for the auction where they acquired 19 players. Lucknow Super Giants bought Rishabh Pant, their new captain, in 2025 mega auction for INR 27 crores, the most expensive player in the history of the league.
