The 1949–50 season was Atlético Madrid's 46th season in existence and the club's 13th consecutive season in the top flight of Spanish football.
Summary
[edit]During summer the club appointed Helenio Herrera as its new head coach arriving from Real Valladolid.[1] Aimed by superb performances of Rafael Mujica, midfielder Larbi Benbarek,[2] Swedish Henrik Carlsson[3][4] and Forward Adrian Escudero[5] the team clinched the league title.
