Zero A.D. is an upcoming American epic biblical drama film directed by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde and written by Rod Barr. It stars Deva Cassel, Sam Worthington, Ben Mendelsohn, Jamie Ward, Marco Khan, Gael García Bernal and Jim Caviezel.
Zero A.D. is scheduled to be released on December 19, 2025.
Synopsis

Production
[edit]The film originally titled Bethlehem is directed by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde and produced by Angel Studios.[2]
The cast includes Sam Worthington as Herod’s son Antipater, Ben Mendelsohn as Nahash, Gael García Bernal as Joachim, and Deva Cassel as Mary.[3] It was revealed that Jim Caviezel joined the cast on April 2 as King Herod the Great.
Principal photography took place in Morocco in November 2024.[4]
Release
[edit]The film was retitled as Zero A. D. and is scheduled to be released on December 19, 2025 by Angel Studios.[5]
