Yousuke Yukimatsu (stylised as ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U) is a Japanese DJ and producer.[1][2][3]
Yukimatsu is from Osaka, where he became a known name in the underground DJ-scene of the 2010s.[4] After debuting as "¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U" alongside DJ Nobu in 2014, he quickly gained attention in Japanese clubs, before playing alongside American musician Oneohtrix Point Never,[2] who introduced Yukimatsu to a wide Western audience.
Especially known in online video, Yukimatsu gained a cult following of international fans, not only because of his particular appearance as a bald, fit and topless DJ, but also because of his diverse choice of music and use of internet culture.[5]
In 2020, he released the mix album Midnight is Comin' under the Singapore label Midnight Shift.[6][1]
He originally worked in construction, and then abandoned his job to DJ full-time after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016.[2] He has performed regularly at the Berlin Atonal festival.[2]
