Updates

[edit]

Been managing the Canadian projects for well over a decade and had no clue this sub project existed or simply forgot about it. I've gone ahead and Incorporated this into the Canada project completely. As in listed on the main page.... linked in our tab header.. project navigation templates.... and in our portal Portal:Canada/Wikiprojects...plus {{WPCC}} added to Template:WikiProject Canada. I've also mess around a bit with the main project page... feel free to revert or change or do whatever to my changes, Hopefully we can get a whole bunch of more participants.. you never know. @Moxy: There were concerns from the beginning (2016) about this WikiProject page being slow to load and edit, limiting its usefulness. Some of the added frills in your changes may be making it slow and cumbersome again, adding to the page size and html/java requirements. I may end up reverting some of that to streamline it. The page has to be functional first: providing quick information for newcomers and allowing editors to quickly add articles to the challenge list. – Reidgreg (talk) 18:15, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A few new images isn't really the problem... easiest solution would be to split the list from 1,000 to 500. Other than that I just finished the accessibility test and it's at 100% (only recommendation is all text) and it loads faster than most Wikipedia pages.

HTML document size: 1005 kB

Prose size (including all HTML code): 5410 B References (including all HTML code): 0 B Wiki text: 18 kB Prose size (text only): 2687 B (430 words) "readable prose size"

References (text only): 0 B

Just made sub page.....easier then explaining how coding loads as transclution of giant lists would be the problem if any.Moxy🍁 19:16, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I support your change Moxy. It gives the page a fresh coat of paint. The only suggestion I would make is to re-add the scope, with the flags for provinces and territories. Not every participant is a Canadian and we shouldn't make assumptions that they would know the scope. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:33, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
