2016

[edit]

I would like to understand or improve the current system of this box. Some individual meetups are listed (e.g. Edinburgh) although there is also an entry for their country (UK), while others are not listed (e.g. Glasgow). Berlin is listed individually, while 20+ other regular meetups in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are not listed individually. Can someone explain? Are there "hard" or "soft" criteria? --Neitram (talk) 17:08, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganising

[edit]

I've split some of the large continents up to more resemble the separation within North America. My geography is terrible (though I've tried to check for errors), so please correct if I've screwed something up. Middle east and South America look very sparsely populated to me. Are we missing something? T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 01:17, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

yes JarrahTree 14:00, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

it looks like no one had standardised or ordered the information for a while JarrahTree 14:06, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

adding new section for inactive meetups

[edit]

I have found that at least one US meetup has not been updated in more than ten years. I am creating a new section of this infobox, to indicate meetups which have been inactive for at least 18 months or more. --Sm8900 (talk) 03:30, 19 March 2020 (UTC) Below is the list I have been compiling of inactive meetups, so far. I will update this list as I found more inactive meetups.[reply]

thanks. --Sm8900 (talk) 03:33, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updated list of Actives and inactives

[edit]

Updated the list. A couple of things...
I moved the Colorado cities into the inactive list. They may be joining working through Mountain West but they appear to not being doing any activities on their own. I moved Austin, TX back in to active. While they did not update their meetup page with the event, they did have a recent meet up Wikicurious Pi Day SXSW 2025. I also reversed the date order. Other than just being a bastard and messing up a perfectly good system, as this was the first time I updated list, I did want to make it very obvious which ones were modified. I can sync back the date style later. Myotus (talk) 15:06, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
