Deity

[edit]

Creature

[edit]
  • Satyral – redirects to Manticore, but page doesn't have any mention of it.
  • Gumyōchō – has a link on page for Kalaviṅka, but no page for itself.
  • Balius and Xanthus – should have a disambiguation page or at least a reference in the page to one of the dogs that attacked Actaeon and apparently a beetle. There's more info in the talk page of the current article.
  • Abath - redirects to Unicorn, but page doesn't have any mention of it. It should probably link to Abada_(unicorn), which is also just a stub article.
  • Blue Crow is under the Category:Legendary crows, but redirects into Azure jay which isn't and has no mention of the myth/legend. There's an external link to an archived page in Portugese, but I don't feel confident in my writing to expand the page.
  • Wuchowsen - (Abenaki) One of the four wind spirits in Abenaki lore. Depicted as a giant eagle who lives atop a mountain. Doesn't have a page, only mentions of it are on List of legendary creatures by type and Lewis Mitchell.
  • Stiff Legged Bear (Native American)- gigantic hairless Bear monster believed in by several tribes- predominantly Iroquoians and Algonquians. Early Colonial Settlers surmised it might be sightings of real mammoths instead of monster story. Some late versions change it to a pig monster.
  • Agoa- (American) turtle monster of West Virginian lore centered around the Monongahela River. Name derived from Lenape language word for snake, but creature completely made up by whites.
  • Doll Woman (folklore) - (Lenape) lifelike doll spirit. Must stay properly appeased, or will cause mischief in the home.
  • O'nya:ten (Iroquoian) aka Dry Fingers. Mummified hand. Appears and leaps out at people after certain transgressions, such as speaking ill of the dead, or butting into other people's personal business.
  • Hipag
  • Ennedi tiger
  • Tei Pai Wanka - (Wampanoag) Term for swamp lights in Algonquian lore. Enslaved souls of people taken by the Little People who are used to scare people who've done wrong or lure them to their deaths.
  • Wanagi- (Lakota) Lakota name for Siouan shadow people. Essentially ghosts.

Folklore

[edit]
  • Zwarte Madam or the black madame is a Flemish folk character who might have a Wikipedia page already in Dutch but it may be of the comic strip with the same name.
