All-Ireland SFC final
[edit]The article on the final of the All-Ireland SFC is eligible for bold-linked inclusion on the Main Page of Wikipedia, as per Wikipedia:In the news#Sports and other recurring events and Wikipedia:In the news/Recurring items#Football (Gaelic). Read Wikipedia:In the news#Updated content for more.
The article on the final should be in presentable condition, with every statement within it verified and cited. Work can begin ahead of the game, typically during the week on which it is scheduled to be played. It is possible to update any background events; for instance, coverage of the announcement of match officials, the preparations of supporters, the revealing of team line-ups (also note any late changes).
Following the game's completion, a match summary in prose, with citation(s), must be added to the article. The match summary should be more than one paragraph. Avoid excessive use of quotations, especially in any post-match section — Advice given here.
When you have ensured that the article is updated, nominate it at Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates, using {{ITN candidate}} — as at this example. You can do this without having created the article, or without having worked on it, but ensure that the article is in good enough condition if the nomination is to be successful.

[edit]If the death has recently been announced of a hurler or Gaelic footballer, his article may be eligible for inclusion on the Main Page as part of the Wikipedia:In the news#Recent deaths section. Please include the nomination in the section on the date of death (or under the date it was announced, if the date of death is unclear). Nominate it at Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates, using {{ITN candidate}} — as at this example. You can do this without having created the article, or without having worked on it, but ensure that the article is in good enough condition if the nomination is to be successful.
Páidí Ó Sé seems to have been the first such inclusion. According to Wikipedia:Main Page history, this was less than two months after the first regular individual recent deaths were posted.
Damian Casey seems to have been the most recent inclusion.
