Wikipedia:Peer review/List of crossings of the Shannon/archive1

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've listed this article for peer review because... it's been a pre-dominantly one-person job for over 10 years, and I'd like some feedback on its quality.

(Is it anywhere near FL status?)

Thanks, -Bogger (talk) 12:06, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Bogger, the article is not close to FL status, but with some hard work it could be, I will write some feedback that could help get it closer. History6042😊 (Contact me) 23:53, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lead must be expanded a lot.
  • Thee images all need alt text.
  • There are a lot of issues with capitalization. For example "pedestrian bridge connecting park" -> "Pedestrian bridge connecting park"
  • The table needs row and column scopes.
  • There are a lot of items in the list that don't have any inline citations. For example, R280 Bridge.
  • If possible add dates for the rest.
  • Move inline citations to a separate column.
  • There are no citations for any of the times that you describe the river's path, for example, "The Shannon and Blackwater rejoin at Thomond village"
  • "NB The Puzzler Blog" is not a reliable source, no blogs are.
  • "list of crossings of the Shannon river" should be "list of crossings of the River Shannon"
  • Please alert me when you have done these. History6042😊 (Contact me) 00:09, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Bogger, repinging as it has been a week. History6042😊 (Contact me) 02:31, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @History6042. I don't think there are going to be references for "The Shannon and Blackwater rejoin at Thomond village", as they are only there to explain that bridge X over the Shannon doesn't actually span the whole river. The other points will take me a while, so I'll ping when done. But I've added the alts. Thanks again. -Bogger (talk) 19:58, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
