Indianapolis Superfund Sites Superfund 1 2 3 4 The List of Superfund sites in Indiana includes four sites in Marion county. Are these listings up to date? Are any missing? The entry for Superfund does not mention Indianapolis or Indiana--if there is an important case in Indiana, it could be added here.
American Lead Corporation NL Industries; Martindale–Brightwood, Indianapolis 1 2 3 4 The defunct company may not be notable by WP:N. "The American Lead site is an area surrounding the former American Lead Facility, located at 2102 Hillside Ave. in Indianapolis. The property was used for industrial purposes dating back to at least the late 1800s. National Lead Industries conducted secondary lead smelting at the property from 1946 to 1965. Historic operations at the smelter contaminated the surrounding community with lead."5
National Lead Industries 1 2 3 Also see above, American Lead Corporation on this list.

Indiana Entries

[edit]
Topic Related Current Entries Sources Notes
Indiana Citizens Mining Council ICMC is mentioned1 as member of the Citizens Coal Council, but given that this larger, national organization does not have a Wikipedia entry, it would be easier to start there.
Denise Abdul-Rahman 1 2 34567 Well-known environmental justice activist from Indiana. Currently working for The Chisholm Legacy Project (a national organization in need of a Wikipedia entry); the founder of The Chisholm Legacy Project, Jacqueline "Jacqui" Patterson also needs an entry. (Note: Although well-known for their work in Indiana, it may be difficult to establish notability--see: WP:N)
Indiana Climate Coalition 1 234

567

Indiana Climate Coalition appears to be a sub-group of Confront the Climate Crisis, maybe be easier to write an entry about the latter.
Lead contamination in Indiana 1234567891011 Compare to Lead contamination in Oakland.
List of Superfund sites in Indiana Are these up to date? Compare to EPA Superfund Site Information 1
Gary Works 1 23456 Very short entry, that needs expansion. Easy task: include sources for the "Notes" in the "References" list.
J-Pit, Gary, Indiana Thesis, should not serve as main source, but may be a good source for sources 123456 A former sand mine that became a toxic dumping ground.
History of coal mining in the United States 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Add a section for Indiana.
Climate change in Indiana Needs more sources and restructuring.

Since 1981, Shirley Heinze Land Trust has preserved and restored natural lands and waters in northwestern Indiana, including some of the rarest landscapes in the state. More than 3,500 acres in Lake, Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Starke, and Marshall Counties have been protected.
Indiana Forest Alliance 1, 2, 3, 4, Start class. Needs more sources and could be built out further.

Executive Order 12898, Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and Low-Income Populations National Environmental Policy Act, Pollution in the United States 1, 2, 3, 4, This Ex. Brownfield land Needs citations, U.S. section is too brief
