Discussions
[edit]
A wide range of discussions was held. Some of the topics of discussions were about:
- Wikidata and its uses
- Wikimania 2018 in Cape Town
- Using the 3D modelling software Blender
- The AfroCuration project happening on the same day in Johannesburg.
- The problem of fake consensus such as the Konzentrationslager Warschau hoax.
- Local content statistics - User:AlexNewArtBot#Africa is useful
- Copyright, Copyright Amendment Bill, Commons (and efforts to lobby for SA legislative changes so that we can use government images)
- How Wikipedia works
- Lack of local administrators
- Nomination of Greenman as a Wikipedia Admin. Everyone was very supportive.
