  • Too soon? Maybe. But it is still a historical moment in the American political/economic timeline. EV. ArionStar (talk) 00:53, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • This is an interesting choice. I try to collect arguments for both sides.

Pro (regarding notability):

  1. The announcement has a huge impact on economy and diplomacy with other countries
  2. The measures are very likely harmful for the US and the trading partners
  3. We have hilarious consequences (Tariffs for by penguins inhabitated countries)
  4. The table is now well-known and has meme potential (showing probably wrong calculations and claims that the "European Union" is a country. Russia etc. are missing
  5. Talks about eggs (polarizing topic) and NASDAQ (which is crashing after the announcement)

Contra:

  1. Trump made and will make many controversial announcements very often (so other videos could claim this status as well)
  2. Is the video and the content as such notable, or the measures themselves?
  3. Consequences are not completely known yet (what historical is and what not can be determined after the event is finished)
  4. The video contains much Trump praising

Further remarks

  1. Calling it freedom day when potentially achieving the opposite is weird (but fits into the Trump claim patterns)

  • Even without knowing the consequences or whether the impact will be positive or negative, one thing is certain, it will have a tremendous impact and mark a historic moment Wilfredor (talk) 11:03, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not against promoting this later. It's just too soon. Once it's history, then we can promote it neutrally. Days after it happened, with it likely mainpaging around the midterms, just feels way too like an endorsement. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.9% of all FPs. 12:08, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
