User talk:Zirconium-90

[edit] Hi Zirconium-90! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Grand Duchy of Lithuania several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Grand Duchy of Lithuania, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. – sbaio 14:43, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- You're the one who has reverted my edits to your preferred version. Your comment is hypocritical. You mentioned a consensus that the GDL should NOT have its native name, yet I could not find such a discussion in the talk page, meaning you're either lying or have edit warred the native name out yourself. - Your unfounded accusations are personal attacks so kindly review WP:NPA if you wish to continue making edits. In addition, I am not going through 10 years of archives to show that there is a consensus for something (there were many discussions through the years and they were not necessarily held in one place). It also looks like another editor already answered your question in the reply below so I will not repeat the same thing. – sbaio 13:57, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- This is not a personal attack. If you accuse anyone who criticizes you of making a personal attack on you, you should not be editing on Wikipedia. Zirconium-90 (talk) 23:42, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

- @Zirconium-90: Hi, I have added an example of the name of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the Old Lithuanian language form (see: HERE). It definitely slightly varies from the modern variant Lietuvos Didžioji Kunigaikštystė, so the usage of a modern variant probably would qualify as WP:OR if we discuss etymological history before 1795. See other old examples at article Name of Lithuania. -- Pofka (talk) 22:51, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
