Wikipedia beginners wanted for user testing
[edit]Wikimedia Deutschland is looking for beginner editors for user testing! We are working on some changes that may affect the editing experience, and we want to make sure that our changes don't make things more difficult for beginners. If you made less than 100 edits, we would love to hear from you! More information and a signup: https://greatquestion.co/wikimediadeutschland/4oADuQpx/apply. --Johannes Richter (WMDE) (talk) 10:18, 19 September 2024 (UTC) PS: This is a one-time message to selected beginner editors. You won't get any further notifications if you're not interested.
Disambiguation link notification for October 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sarah Zapata, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Corpus Christi. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 20:02, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Advert warning
[edit] Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.Deb (talk) 16:10, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. I appreciate your feedback. The article I contributed was a translation of a Spanish one, which indeed contained certain phrases that may have appeared promotional. I will take your suggestions into account and rewrite the article tomorrow, ensuring it fully adheres to Wikipedia's neutrality policy.
- Thanks again! Vtchjhn (talk) 16:14, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Hello, Vtchjhn
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username TheLongTone, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Pilar González (artist), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|TheLongTone}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit]Hi Vtchjhn. Thank you for your work on Lino Dinetto. Another editor, Netherzone, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for creating the article on Lino Dinette. It can be improved by adding a section for Collections - permanent museum collections that hold his work. I noticed he is in the collection of The Courtald https://artuk.org/discover/artists/dinetto-lino-b-1927. Each collection should have a citation.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Netherzone}}
. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Netherzone (talk) 20:13, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Netherzone: Thank you for the feedback! I’ll add a “Collections” section to the article with citations, including The Courtauld and other confirmed institutions. Vtchjhn (talk) 18:47, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Vtchjhn. Thank you for your work on José Cziffery. Another editor, Rosiestep, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
When adding foreign language references, it's best practice to add
|trans-title=
to the ref, such as I just did to the Di Maggio reference. See Wikipedia:Press coverage#Adding entries to a page in the subsectionForeign-language coveragefor more info in this regard. Note, it works with "cite news", "cite book", "cite journal", etc.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Rosiestep}}
. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Rosiestep (talk) 15:14, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the helpful feedback and for reviewing the article. I will be sure to apply this practice consistently when including foreign-language sources going forward. Much appreciated! Vtchjhn (talk) 09:55, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
