[edit] Hello, I'm Miminity. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Narammala, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 11:33, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Narammala, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 11:37, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Hello Vidun Nethmira! Your additions to Narammala have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Sri Lanka GDP
[edit]Can you provide a source for this edit please? Some of your edits to the page is also questionable. For example, Sri J'pura kotte is not the sole capital of Sri Lanka. Can you double checkr edits please. Chanaka L (talk) 14:38, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Chanakal Sure! Sri Lanka's GDP in 2023 is approximately 84 billion. Head over to List of countries by GDP(nominal) and take a look at Sri Lanka's GDP in 2023. Maybe I'm wrong about the sole capital of Sri Lanka. I'm sorry about that. You could always edit that 😁. Vidun Nethmira (talk) 15:09, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, the source isn't clickable. Please search the following for the GDP of Sri Lanka in 2023, - "List of countries by GDP (nominal)" Vidun Nethmira (talk) 15:12, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- I am sorry, copying from somewhere else without a citation is not good enough. Please read WP:VERIFY. Also don't leave a mess for other editors to clean. It is your responsibility, not others. Chanaka L (talk) 15:26, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Chanakal Hey, why did you revert edits by me? I added sources & citations and everything! Vidun Nethmira (talk) 12:42, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Vidun Nethmira Please see this discussion here. Please don't add AI generated content to the page again. `Chanaka L (talk) 10:11, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
