Welcome to Wikipedia, TheLastPageMedia! I'm UtherSRG, and I've been assigned as your mentor. All new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

Again, welcome to Wikipedia! UtherSRG (talk) 11:45, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand that my previous username (TheLastPageMedia) may have given the impression that I was editing on behalf of a company or for promotional purposes, which violates Wikipedia’s username and promotional editing policies.

To clarify, TheLastPage Media is a company that I own, and I selected that username simply based on availability, without realizing that it would create a conflict with Wikipedia's policies. The page I created — about Dr. Nitin Singhal — was in no way connected to my company, nor was it promotional in intent. The content was based entirely on reliable, independent news sources, including a nationally reported case (the surgical removal of a 47 kg tumor). I was not paid or compensated for creating the article, and my sole intention was to contribute factual, verifiable information to the encyclopedia.

I now understand the importance of using a neutral username, maintaining a non-promotional tone, and complying with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and disclosure policies. I respectfully request the opportunity to contribute under my new username, 'Dakshkumar Chaudhari,' and assure you that I will fully follow all guidelines moving forward.

Thank you for considering my request. TheLastPageMedia (talk) 12:21, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I assume that "The Last Page Media" is a marketing or PR company. So you work in marketing, but you weren't using your professional services to edit about Dr. Singhal? Can you understand why that might be difficult to believe? I assume you didn't pick Dr. Singhal at random to edit about, how did you come to do so? 331dot (talk) 08:52, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your honest feedback, I completely understand the skepticism, and it’s a fair concern.
Yes, I do run a media company called The Last Page Media, and I now realize how using that as a username, combined with an article about a doctor, could create the impression of promotional editing. That was an oversight on my part, and I truly appreciate the chance to explain.
To be transparent: this article about Dr. Nitin Singhal was not part of any professional engagement, nor was I paid or requested to create it. I came across his case (the removal of a 47 kg tumor) through national media coverage, and as someone who works with medical content often, it stood out to me as encyclopedically notable.
I’ve not created or edited any other Wikipedia pages for professional purposes, nor do I intend to offer such services. This was a single, good-faith contribution I made based on reliable public sources and not part of a marketing project or paid editing.
To avoid any further confusion, I’ve changed my username to ‘Dakshkumar Chaudhari’ to reflect my personal identity and respect Wikipedia’s username policies.
If given the opportunity, I’d be glad to rebuild the article in a sandbox, follow community input, and ensure everything aligns with Wikipedia’s standards on neutrality, sourcing, and notability.
Thank you again for your time, guidance, and for keeping the platform’s integrity strong. I genuinely want to be a positive, policy-compliant contributor. TheLastPageMedia (talk) 12:53, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
