A tag has been placed on your user page, User:SportsLigue, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 14:04, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
{{unblock-spamun|Sportsligue|I understand that my account was blocked due to concerns around promotional editing and username policy violations. I sincerely apologize for not fully adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines.
I have not received any compensation or payment for my edits. My goal was to contribute meaningful and factual content related to sports media in good faith, and I now understand that even well-intentioned edits must strictly adhere to Wikipedia’s neutrality and notability standards.
I now recognize that promotional tone and brand-focused usernames are against Wikipedia’s purpose and username policy. My intent was to share factual, neutral information in line with similar articles but I understand this must be done with strict neutrality and sourcing.
If unblocked, I intend to contribute content that complies with Wikipedia’s notability standards, neutrality, and verifiability policies. My contributions will focus on expanding or editing existing sports-related articles rather than creating content solely about Sportsligue or affiliated interests. I will not include any external links in my edits going forward to avoid even the appearance of promotion.
I would like to request a username change to **Sportsligue**, which avoids the appearance of a corporate or promotional identity. SportsLigue (talk) 15:49, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
{{unblock-spamun|Sportsligue| I understand that my account was blocked for promotional editing, username policy violations. I work with Sportsligue, so I now realize that my edits qualify as paid or affiliated editing under Wikipedia’s paid-contribution disclosure policy. I should have disclosed this upfront, and I apologize for not doing so. I’ve reviewed Wikipedia’s guidelines on paid contributions and neutrality. My goal is to contribute to general sports-related topics that are of public interest and written in a neutral tone. If unblocked, I will avoid editing topics where I have a conflict of interest. I also will not include external links or promotional content. I understand Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion and I will abide by that. SportsLigue (talk) 21:34, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We don't want AI chatbots editing Wikipedia(72ish% certain according to zeroGPT). You are blocked, not an AI, so we want to hear from you directly. Please write in your own words without the aid of an AI. I will also note that if you work for SportsLigue, you are a paid editor, it does not require specific payment for edits. 331dot (talk) 19:12, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
