Thank you for editing Balliol College.
[edit]It reads better now that the detail about alumni is relegated to subpages where I am working on classifying and then tabulating the alumni into sortable lists. JPF (talk) 12:38, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]My apologies. I think I was much too tetchy when reverting your changes yesterday. If I may I'll review your proposed changes and then consult you further. Tim riley talk 18:00, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- No problem at all, I know what it can be like. Just to say that I was actually reading original copies of The Times and The Manchester Guardian from 1953 which was my motivation to update the details in the article. I was trying to make the article more accurate based on those contemporary sources. Seaweed (talk) 19:46, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Heading Home (1991 film) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Heading Home (1991 film). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Frost 23:12, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

Help restoring deleted article: Oliver Hughes (Banker)
[edit]Hi!
In December of 2023 you were involved in the deletion discussion on the article on Oliver Charles Hughes, due to the individual not being deemed notable enough to merit an article on Wikipedia. I would appreciate your help in restoring this article, please.
Oliver Hughes is known as the former CEO of London-listed Tinkoff, which was once the world's most profitable digital bank at the time. He resigned from this position after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Oliver Hughes is currently Chief Growth Officer for London-listed TBC Bank Group. He is also a Board member of Tabby, MENA's shopping and financial services app, valued at more than $3B ahead of its IPO.

Thank you in advance!

- Hello RitaTBC. I don't create articles very often, so you might want to try you post a message at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and economics/People in business for help from much better experts than me. By the way, well done for stating your conflict of interest. Seaweed (talk) 20:11, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. I think that's what I'll do! Thanks again RitaTBC (talk) 05:46, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
Your edits to Ben Bradley
[edit]I am merely passing through WP (only back here to report a new sockpuppet/lta/block evader), as I can't deal with the personalities involved and the drama that increasingly is ensuing.
Strange, then, to find the phrase "Bradley has been a councillor Nottinghamshire County Council since May 2017" which is poor grammar, introduced in this change 2 March change, with the edit summary: "Substantial reduction of opening section for clarity. Substance remains elsewhere in article."
How does the latter conform to WP:LEDE? "The lead should identify the topic and summarize the body of the article with appropriate weight." You've removed content essential for those - like me - wanting a snapshot of his recent history, being a high-profile character who has now withdrawn from public service, as he confirmed in the latter stages of last year. Now, you're making readers trawl through the lower sections, in the hope something is there.
Presently, it reads as if he is a Notts County Councillor; he is not from 30 April 2025, so someone has to amend this.
Leave it at that for now. TiA.-- Rocknrollmancer (talk) 17:29, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
As a post-script I can now see you do not have a dedicated email address, so you may not see this promptly; accordingly I've updated the content.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 18:05, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
Zarah Sultana
[edit]When does a politician’s support for a sports team become notable? It is mentioned under the personal life sections on other pages, including Keir Starmer, Rishi Sunak, Andy Burnham, Richard Tice and David Lammy? 2trappyeditz (talk) 18:29, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- I think an MP's notable sports connection needs more than just being a fan. I look for formal roles (e.g. owner) or maybe significant involvement (e.g leading a sports review, direct club benefit). We also need secondary source verification. I don't think simple fan declarations, like Zarah Sultana's support for Liverpool, as being typically notable enough for Wikipedia. Compare to someone like Tracey Crouch. I just took a look at Andy Burnham's article and his sporting details roughly make sense to me, but David Lammy and Richard Tice, not at all.
