A tag has been placed on West-Flanders Mapping requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Drive-by image adding

[edit]

Hello, I see that you have added a lot of different flags, coat of arms, etc. to Belgium-related articles. These can be useful but please read MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE and think first whether adding them benefits the reader. In most cases, we have access to large numbers of relevant images and we are not able to use everything in an article. Some of these seem rather questionable and I'm also concerned that some of the images themselves have dubious historical provenance and may be later inventions. Please read WP:V and cite sources supporting your designs to clear this up. Thanks! —Brigade Piron (talk) 16:03, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Flag and Coat of arms of West -Flanders. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 12:23, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Flags

[edit]

Please don't (re)add flags without making very sure that they are correct. E.g. this, as far as I can tell Ruanda-Urundi didn't have an official flag, and I have seen no evidence that this one was in use at all. In other lists, please only insert flags which are verifiable (so not sourced to Wikipedia, Flags of the World, or other random websites) and of some importance (as there are countless organisations with their own flag which is of no importance otherwise). [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Belgian heraldry, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Brabant, Limburg and Hainaut. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:58, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong move

[edit]

This is not a "move to mainspace", please don't use incorrect edit summaries. Furthermore, this is incorrect capitalization, the coat of arms of West Flanders is not a proper noun but a description. All our pages on coats of arms start with "Coat of arms", not "Coat of Arms"[1]. All our articles on "flag and coat of arms" have the lowercase[2]. I'll move it back, please don't move it again. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Provincial Mausoleum of Political Prisoners and Deportees, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Authorities.

Thanks for your contributions to Provincial Mausoleum of Political Prisoners and Deportees. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it consists of machine-generated text. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Vegantics (talk) 16:57, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
