[edit] Hello, I'm Yutsi. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Timeline of the 21st century—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. – yutsi (talk) 19:55, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, great to hear from you. Was reverting this really nonconstructive? To me it seems like vandalism. --Osmo Lundell (talk) 19:57, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Yutsi Could you confirm this? I would like to revert the potential vandalism from there, because it really seems it is not needed. --Osmo Lundell (talk) 20:05, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Someone else beat me to it while I was waiting for the reasoning behind your action. I understand that you might have done it by accident, because using rollback has instantaneous effects. Have a great day! --Osmo Lundell (talk) 20:21, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, that was a mistake on my end. Thanks, you too. – yutsi (talk) 22:33, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment with the page Wiz, Inc.. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use your sandbox instead, as someone could see your edit before you revert it. Thank you. - Hey and thanks for leaving a message. What do you mean by experiment? If you look at the diffs, you can clearly see I was the one removing vandalism, right? Please tell me if I am wrong here. @Faster than Thunder —-Osmo Lundell (talk) 20:36, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- If you remove vandalism, shouldn't you not undo it? Faster than Thunder (talk | contributions) 20:37, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Faster than Thunder As you see, I first reverted the latest change. After that, I removed the IPs earlier edit to the template above. If something else has happened, that has been an error. Could you check again confirm this? Thanks! —Osmo Lundell (talk) 20:40, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- I apologize for my mistakes. Faster than Thunder (talk | contributions) 20:40, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

- @Liance hey and thanks for reaching out! I'm an experienced user from other Wikis who finally decided to be more active here too! It's a whole new world and full of interesting editors. Thanks for a warm welcome! --Osmo Lundell (talk) 16:55, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Of course! Seems like you know what you're doing for sure. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions though. ~Liancetalk 16:57, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Definetly! I'll be checking out your local policies, there is a lot to learn in that regard. For example, could you tell me what to do in en-wiki if a user removes infromation due to the source being a dead link, but does not replace the infromation with anything? And secondly, what if the user removes dead-linked info and claims it as "outdated"? Thanks! :] --Osmo Lundell (talk) 17:00, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hmm, I'm actually not sure if there's a policy specific to dead links (there might be one I am not aware of). Generally, if something is not verifiable by a reference, it's OK to remove it, but we try to rescue sources that are no longer available by finding an archived copy. It's best practice to attach an Internet Archive version of a linked source to the reference while it's still live to guard against link rot. ~Liancetalk 17:07, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- See WP:DEADREF actually, it covers exactly what you're referring to! ~Liancetalk 17:09, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Alright thanks! I'll check it out! --Osmo Lundell (talk) 17:09, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
