Question from Rohanism2511 on Wikipedia:Requested moves (12:18, 1 March 2025)

[edit]

Hey men how can I edit banafar page ? It is protected and showing wrong information on internet --Rohanism2511 (talk) 12:18, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rohanism2511, thanks for the message. Because the page is protected, you can't edit it directly, but you can make an edit request at Talk:Banaphar. Please read through the instructions at Wikipedia:Edit requests and the previous discussions on the talk page first though, because it looks like there's a history of controversy at that article. I know it can seem a bit complicated at first, so let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 04:10, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from WWtext (11:16, 5 March 2025)

[edit]

Hi Mx. Granger, I started editing Wikipedia yesterday and you are my mentor. All of my edits were deleted by two other people, the first edit within one minute. What is going on? How can I proceed? The article I am working on is Daniela Ambrosoli. Thank you for your help. --WWtext (talk) 11:16, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WWtext, thanks for the message. It looks like your edits were reverted because they looked promotional. For instance, the sentence Her multifaceted professional endeavors all reflect her strong dedication to the performing arts, her concern for the wellbeing and training of young artists, and her willingness to invest her time, resources, and creativity for social betterment. reads like a PR piece designed to make the subject sound good, not like an impartial encyclopedia article. Your additions are more likely to stay if you make them neutral, factual, and rigorously supported by reliable sources.
If you have some affiliation with Daniela Ambrosoli, you should take a look at the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. (And if you're being paid for these edits, you're required to disclose that per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.)
Either way, rather than continuing to try to re-add the material that has been removed (what's known here as an edit war), the right way to respond when someone reverts your edits is to start a discussion at the talk page, in this case Talk:Daniela Ambrosoli.
Please let me know if you have any other questions – I know it takes some time to get used to Wikipedia's practices and expectations. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 14:24, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Mx. Granger for your very helpful suggestions. WWtext (talk) 16:37, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Maryam Shamoon (08:39, 9 March 2025)

[edit]

Hi, How can I apply for free Visa In abroad To education --Maryam Shamoon (talk) 08:39, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Maryam Shamoon, thanks for the message. Although Wikipedia has some articles about visa rules, it's not reliable enough to depend on for information about legal procedures. I would suggest contacting an immigration lawyer, or a local consulate or embassy from the country where you want to study. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 22:08, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from AKL02 (07:12, 10 March 2025)

[edit]

Hi! My name is Adam. I'm a long time wikipedia user but I've noticed alot of info that could be added. My main problem is I don't know how to properly source. What can I do ? --AKL02 (talk) 07:12, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adam/AKL02, thanks for the message. A good place to start is Help:Referencing for beginners. The important thing is to use reliable sources and put the key information about the source (title, author, link if applicable, etc.) between <ref>...</ref> tags. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 03:17, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi how can I get the sucrepapito page published? --Luminpix (talk) 20:49, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Luminpix, thanks for the message. Take a look at Help:Your first article, which outlines the steps to write and publish a new article. In particular, make sure to cite enough independent reliable sources to demonstrate that the subject of the article meets the notability guideline. I know it can seem complicated at first, so let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 01:37, 16 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please block IP 2001:B07:A9A:EF37:1DE6:9B0A:392:ECC6 because he uses Hong Kong reference, not China. 2001:44C8:4208:2488:6148:1490:16E:A192 (talk) 14:27, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a content dispute, and I'm not sure which source is more reliable for the film's budget. Please discuss on the article's talk page, Talk:Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 01:40, 16 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
