Issues with Viktor Petrik

[edit]

Hi again,

Thanks for your comments about the article. I have no personal animosity towards Petrik, I'm just going off the articles that I've found about him. I can't read Russian, so I may have overlooked relevant articles in Russian language publications. Generally the Wall Street Journal is a Reliable Source, but all papers do make mistakes. It is important, however, to supply 3rd party media sources when challenging information in an article because Wikipedia policy does not allow the inclusion of Original Research in articles.

If you find my stance unreasonable, the best place to bring up your issues with the article have problems with the content of the article is the Biography Noticeboard so that other uninvolved editors can examine the issues with the article. Thanks, Qrsdogg (talk) 20:08, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Yinager Dessie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request for arbitration removed

[edit]

Hello Msh317,

🛈 Please talk to Seraphimblade, the deleting administrator, if you disagree with the deletion. You can do so by clicking here.

In response to your request for arbitration, the Arbitration Committee has agreed that arbitration is not required at this stage. Arbitration on Wikipedia is a lengthy, complicated process that involves the unilateral adjudication of a dispute by an elected committee. Although the Committee's decisions can be useful to certain disputes, in many cases the actual process of arbitration is unenjoyable and time-consuming. Moreover, for most disputes the community maintains an effective set of mechanisms for reaching a compromise or resolving a grievance.

Grievances about the actions of an administrator (like their decision to block an editor, or protect or delete a page) should also be approached in the first instance on the administrator's talk page, but administrators are expected to be accountable and you can ask on the administrators' incidents noticeboard for the action to be reviewed. In the case of deletions by deletion discussion, you can also open a deletion review.

In all cases, you should review Wikipedia:Dispute resolution to learn more about resolving disputes on Wikipedia. The English Wikipedia community has many venues for resolving disputes and grievances, and it is important to explore them instead of requesting arbitration in the first instance. For more information on the process of arbitration, please see the Arbitration Policy and the Guide to Arbitration. I hope this advice is useful, and please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the community if you have more questions. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:39, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the critique - and yes my writing was aided with the use of some AI - though not ChatGPT - I actually find most AI can not keep up with math at this level - yet it is quite effective in aiding in the proper formatting and ensuring the continuity of variables. And especially for me helping correct grammar and spelling.
Tribernachi has been a life long work of mine - I only choose to share and have already started with peer reviews with amazing comments back - and a few corrections so far. I anticipate more to follow - If you choose not to publish I respect that - this for me is just a place to share the work. I am 73 retired and am not seeking promotion Mark (talk) 15:26, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

== COI Clarification and Intent ==
Thank you, @Mike, for raising the COI concern. I want to clarify my position respectfully and in good faith.
I am Mark S. Hewitt, the subject of this article. I understand that per Wikipedia’s Conflict of Interest guidelines, editing a page about oneself qualifies as a COI, even if no compensation, product, or service is involved. I want to confirm that I do **not have any promotional or financial interest** behind the article. My intention was to correct inaccuracies and contribute additional independently verifiable information about a theory I’ve developed for academic discussion only.
The article contains no links to commercial services or platforms, and I’ve relied on credible sources such as The Washington Post, Ribbon Communications, and patent databases to support the content. That said, I fully respect the guidelines and will **no longer make direct edits to the article**. I will use this Talk page and follow the {{edit COI}} request process going forward.
If any editors would like to help improve or fact-check the article for neutrality and citation balance, I sincerely welcome your input.
Thank you again for your guidance and for helping uphold Wikipedia’s standards. Mark (talk) 23:19, 15 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
