Thanks a million for helping to reverse the edits made by two anonymous users en masse (they are the same person and there will probably be another one soon). There is currently a consensus established and validated by the administrators about the Catalan origin of the footballers. I have put the evidence on my talk page. There is also a discussion on WikiProject Catalonia to establish if a new criterion is needed. Panenkazo (talk) 14:37, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am rather curious about this edit. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:10, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Very Confused

I have made changes that have Links to Official Government websites. This is Factual information and the Public deserves to know the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnramias (talkcontribs)

Hi there LakesideMiners,

I am new to editing Wiki pages and keen to understand how to change the copy I have submitted to ensure it's updated. Can you advise?

Thanks,

Federal Judges' full date of birth - ongoing edits

[edit]

Good afternoon,

On behalf of U.S. federal judiciary, I'm working to edit and remove their full date of birth from the Wikipedia articles. The discussion of this task is being discussed on the BLP talk page taking into account the lack of encyclopedic value of the full date of birth and the likelihood that this personal information presents an online security and data privacy vulnerability. I am authorized by my employer and by the judge, under the U.S. law entitled the Daniel Anderl Judicial Security and Privacy Act of 2022, P.L. 117-263 Sections 5931-5939, to make these edits. While the law allows for exceptions to the removal of personal information from public and private websites for, "reporting, news-gathering, speaking or other activities intended to inform the public on matters of public interest or public concern" the articles about judges can be edited to strike a balance by keeping the year of birth, rather than the full date of birth. Many of the citations and references for full date of birth are archived materials and obscure references with many official sources like the Federal Judicial Center and recent U.S. Senate Nominee Questionnaires removing the full date of birth as part of their sharing biographical information.

I'm referring specifically to: Robert Katzmann - Wikipedia

I hope to this explains the need for these ongoing edits to judges articles and look forward to your perspective. Privmaman (talk) 19:28, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Anna Letitia Le Breton Page

[edit]

Dear LakesideMiners,

Thank you for your message in regards to the Anna Letitia Le Breton Wikipedia article. I appreciate your feedback on my suggested edits as I do not have that much experience on the site. I had suggested that the cemetery link is changed from Hampstead Cemetery to St John-at-Hampstead. I noticed online (Please see attached link: https://hampsteadparishchurch.org.uk/plot/xb124/) that Anna Letitia Le Breton is buried at St. John at Hampstead Plot XB 124 as opposed to Hampstead Cemetery.

Additionally, I noticed on Find a Grave that her memorial (Please see attached link: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/116295450/anna-letitia-le_breton) also lists St. John at Hampstead as the burial location, and the memorial is labeled as famous. Thank you for mentioning that Find a Grave is not considered a reliable source. I was previously unaware, and I'm not really sure how that site works.

I may try to find additional supporting documentation/citations. If you may please provide advice/feedback, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your assistance in advance.

Sincerely, Writer 1960 Writer1960 (talk) 00:50, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LakesideMiners, can you please explain what you find undesirable about my string of recent edits to justify a mass revert? I notice you did not provide an edit summary, so I have no way of knowing what problem you perceive. If you prefer to have this discussion on the Talk page of the article, that would be fine with me as well. — BarrelProof (talk) 23:58, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I took another look and realized you were working on improving it. I just saw the most recent version and saw an unrefecnted statement and decided to revert on that, and I got sidetracked right before I was going to leave the warning. I greatly apologize. No worries – I appreciate your efforts to protect Wikipedia from bad edits. Regarding unreferenced statements, my understanding is that it is common for statements in the lead section to not include citations, provided supporting citations are available in the article body. See MOS:CITELEAD. If you look closely at my edits, I think you will find them constructive. If I don't see any further action from you soon, I plan to revert your revert. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:00, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
